Looking for somewhere different to stay near Uzès?
Le Loft de l’Uzège is a private 100 m² loft for two, just a short drive from the centre of Uzès.
Set into the lower level of our home in Sagriès, the loft is completely independent, with its own entrance, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and private terrace.
What makes the space different is its architecture.
Thick concrete columns, an exposed ceiling and a natural rock wall remain visible throughout the loft, giving it a character we wanted to preserve rather than hide.

Raw architecture, softened
The original structure forms the backdrop, but the space itself is warm and relaxed.
Natural materials, simple furniture and carefully chosen objects soften the concrete and stone, while large wooden-framed doors bring in the changing Mediterranean light.
The main living area is completely open, with the kitchen, dining area and lounge flowing into one another. There is plenty of room to cook, read, spend an afternoon inside or open everything up to the terrace.
A private stay designed for two
We deliberately created the loft for two people. Not because the space is small — quite the opposite — but because we liked the idea of creating somewhere generous for a couple.
There is no need to squeeze extra bedrooms or beds into every corner. Instead, the loft has room to breathe. The bedroom is separate from the main living area, while the terrace becomes another living space during the warmer months.

Indoor-outdoor living
Breakfast can move outside beneath the fig tree. On hot afternoons, the outdoor shower is there for cooling off. As the temperature drops, the terrace becomes the place for a drink while the cicadas start up around you.
After dark, the loft changes again.Instead of a television, we installed a 4K projector, turning one of the walls into a cinema for evenings at home.
Close to Uzès, away from the bustle
Uzès is only a short drive away, making it easy to visit the Saturday market, have dinner in town or simply wander through the historic centre.
But back at the loft, the atmosphere is quieter. Sagriès is surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and limestone landscape, with the Gardon, Pont du Gard and many of the villages of the Uzège nearby.
For us, that balance is the best part: close enough to explore, quiet enough to stay in.
